Christmas Casual Team Members - All Departments

If you are reading this, there is a good chance you already know who we are. We are one of Australia's leading musical instrument retailers and part of a group with stores in most states across Australia. We are big, but we are still family owned, so it is a pretty great place to work.

Christmas is our busiest time of year, and we are building our Perth team for the season.

The right people

We are not a stuffy corporate, so we do not have some massive document with all sorts of requirements or hoops you need to jump through. But we are on the lookout for the 'right' people, which would be people who love helping others as much as they love music.

We need people who can start straight away and stay with us through Christmas, New Year and the end of February. Yes, we know you might be gigging over the holidays, but this is when we are busiest, so we need people who are available then.

Departments we are hiring for

• Drums. Kits, cymbals, electronic drums and percussion.
• Guitars. Electric, acoustic, bass, amps and pedals.
• All-rounders. You know a bit about everything and can jump in wherever the floor needs you.
• Reception / Customer Service. The first friendly face customers see, plus phones, enquiries and the front counter.
• Warehouse. Receiving, picking, packing and keeping stock moving through our busiest weeks.

What we are looking for

• People who love helping others as much as they love music.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely happy to help every customer.
• Reliable and available across the Christmas, New Year and January period, through to the end of February.
• Able to start immediately.
• For sales roles, you know your instrument and can play it. For reception and warehouse roles, a love of music is a bonus but not essential.

Helping customers

You can be as moody and cool as you like when you are playing in your band. If you are here, though, you need to be friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely happy to help. At Christmas that means:

• A parent with a list from their kid and no idea what any of it means.
• A grandparent buying a first guitar or drum kit for a grandkid.
• A gigging player chasing a new pedal before their New Year's Eve gig.
• Someone who has finally decided this is the year they treat themselves.

Every one of them deserves the same friendly, enthusiastic help.

Working hours

These are casual roles on a roster that includes weekends and the Christmas and New Year period. Please outline your availability through to the end of February when applying, including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and the New Year period.
